Two New Animations
I made two new animations. They're both of waving people, which I think I should give names, because we wouldn't like it if we were just called "people". and I've been calling them waving people. Because animations have feelings. oh well, I think I'll just shut up and show the animations now.

I made them very simple. Very little shading, and I like how it came out. And surprisingly enough it only took me a half hour-ish. I made the red shirt one two days ago, and the green shirt one yesterday. I still haven't decided if I should put them on my site yet.

Oh yeah and because this is a new community, there aren't a lot of people yet, if you have any friends that make animations, tell them to join!

Hi Caesar, thank you for inviting me to join! :)

Last week I wanted to take a break from my usual chao sprites and see if I could sprite something without using a base. One of my favorite spriters is G-Ne2, a Japanese artist who made the most adorable Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker sprites. Not only are they really cute, but each design is unique to the character and is not bound by a base setting, if a base was even used. Her site went down a few years ago and I haven't been able to find her new one (if there even is one), but these are some of her sprites that I had saved.

I just really like that free-range style, and I guess I was tired of my cookie-cuter sprites. I decided to draw a free-hand sprite of Aang sitting on an airball, since it would be relatively simple and I already had experience of drawing that pose before. I started with a basic sketch and then re-drew the lineart so it was smoother, then began coloring. It didn't really look good until I started shading though, because that really helped me to know where to edit the pixels so that the limbs and everything would look more natural. Once I was done I copy+pasted the airball onto new layers so I could make frames for the animation. It was really annoying to try make the air swoosh animation look smooth so it looked like the airball was actually moving and not just shaking from side to side. ~_~ It still could use some work, but I think I'll just leave it.
But anyway, here's my result.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm currently working on a second version where Aang raises his right hand and waves, but it'll be a while before I finish. (edit: I finished it. ^^) I'm not sure what I'll work on after that though. Probably more chao sprite sets -- I still have a lot of characters to catch up on before the new season starts. This was a fun treat though. ....Oh, and sorry for talking so much. ^^;;
